A Better PATH Campaign Update: Events Ahead
PATH Riders: Stand Together for Our Future on 11/20

More information below!
This past weekend showed serious crowding at PATH stations, evidence of the need for increased investment, attention, and PA support.
Fortunately, Port Authority is in budget season — finalizing its 2026 budget and 10-year capital plan. For PATH riders, the coming weeks will shape what kind of system we’ll have in the years ahead.
There are a few key chances to speak up for a better PATH, with the 20th being the most important one.

A Reminder of Our Campaign Asks
Improved Off-Peak Service — PATH Forward promised better headways. It’s time to say when.
Extension to Newark Airport — Announced years ago, still waiting for traction. Let’s get this project moving again.
Long-Term Plan — PATH is vital to Hudson County’s economy and daily life. We need a approach that reflects that.

2025 Takeaway: When PATH Suffers, So Does Hudson
If 2025 showed us anything, it’s that Hudson County can’t function without PATH. Riders endured repeated interruptions, both planned and unplanned:
Hoboken Closures – February and again over Labor Day
Derailment – Linked to a recently replaced interlocking

Thoughts to walk with…
In the next few weeks, PATH’s future will be decided: How much time, money, and attention this crucial system will get. The choices made in boardrooms will be felt by riders on station platforms.
We must make ourselves part of the conversation. Show up at their events. Speak up for your future. Let the Port Authority know that a better PATH isn’t a simply a campaign title, it's a big part of Hudson County’s future.
