It’s simple - tell the PA how unreliable off-peak service affects your life. You don’t need to know about trains or data, all you need to talk about is your experience.
Remember! The Port Authority is a partner, so respect is key. We communicate our experience, make our asks, and step aside to let the next person do the same.
What are we asking for?
- Improved off-peak weekday service
- More transparency from the PA
- To prioritize PATH when crafting the PA budget in the Fall
You can see talking points here
I don’t need weekday off-peak, I need better weekend service.
We know. So do we, and we’ve made that clear with our 6,000+ petition signatures. We’ll continue making it clear that’s a serious need, but if that’s our only message, we’re beating a dead horse, ya know?
Also, it makes us look like we’re not listening to them, which we don’t want to do either. The PA has been hard at work, underground, every weekend.
Even if you don’t need better service on off-peak weekdays, your friends & neighbors who work as first responders & in service industries do. They’re at work, or sleeping after a night shift, so they need you to speak on their behalf!
We want to make progress before the conclusion of PATH Forward, so we’re working to help those in our community who desperately need improved off-peak weekday service.
This is what community looks like, stepping up for each other when it isn’t easy.
I can’t go, but I still want to help
