Hudson Gives 2025: Better Streets, Better Transit - Help Make It Happen
Hello neighbor,
You already know that safer streets and better transit go hand-in-hand. That’s why Hudson County Complete Streets is the home of the Better PATH Campaign—fighting for better, more reliable PATH train service, especially on weekends and off-peak hours.
So far we've:
✅ Collected almost 5,000 signatures for our petition to the Port Authority and elected officials
✅ Persuaded 12+ local and state elected officials to write letters to the Port Authority about this issue
✅ Spoken at the last three monthly Port Authority board meetings
Our advocacy is already starting to make a difference. The Port Authority recently increased Saturday night service and began running unscheduled "bonus trains" at times of high crowding. We hope that with continued effort and outreach, this is only the beginning of service improvements.
This campaign, like all of Hudson County Complete Streets, is led and staffed by volunteers. We’re just regular people who know that things could be better, if only we could get the attention of the people with the power to do something about it.
