October 2024: Vision Zero Public Meetings and More!
Hello neighbor,
Hudson County is hosting four upcoming public meetings for people to attend and learn about the Vision Zero program. NJ TRANSIT wants your input on reimagining our bus routes in Hudson County and finally The Heights advocates want to save the protected bike lane that was demonstrated over the Summer.
TAKE ACTION: Attend a Vision Zero Public Meeting
Please plan to attend the October 15, 6:30pm virtual public or any of the in-person public meetings, so the county can hear from you about where you want safer streets! 🚲 🚌🚶🚗
Tuesday, October 15 @ 6:30-8:00 PM - Virtual
Wednesday, October 16 @ 4:30-6:30 PM – Harrison Recreation and Community Center, Harrison, NJ
Thursday, October 17 @ 5:30-7:30 PM – HCCC North Campus, Union City, NJ

SURVEY: NJTRANSIT’s NewBus Hudson
Help NJ TRANSIT improve current and future bus service in Hudson County! 🚍🚏
NewBus Hudson is NJ TRANSIT’s plan to redesign our county’s bus network and services. Want more frequent service, bus shelters, or easier transfers? Bus-only lanes for faster trips? Your feedback is critical to making sure the final plan responds to the needs of the community.
The survey is available in English, Spanish and Chinese.
Save The Heights Protected Bike Lane
📣 ACTION ALERT! 📣 Jersey City is at imminent risk of losing $670,000 in state grant funding that was secured to permanently build protected bike lanes on Manhattan Avenue and Franklin Street — these would be the first EVER protected bike lanes in The Heights!
Please help save this vital project by using our system to send letters of support to all the city decision-makers involved. It only takes a minute, and the letter is pre-written but feel free to make edits.
